The Hippodrome at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center

Once the premier venue for Vaudeville stars and "moving pictures," Baltimore's cultural icon is being restored to its early 20th century elegance and grandeur. Scheduled to open in February 2004, the center will seat 2,250 guests for a spectacular schedule of Broadway shows, concerts and community events. The entire theatre complex includes the restoration of three historic landmark buildings -- the Hippodrome, the Western National Bank Building and the Eutaw Savings Bank.
